Data Deletion Instructions

ChargePointSA respects your privacy and your right to control your personal data. If you would like us to delete any personal information we hold about you — including WhatsApp conversations, quote submissions, contact form messages, or marketing list data — please follow the instructions below.

How to request deletion

Email us at sales@chargepointsa.co.za with the subject line:

“Data Deletion Request”

In the email, please include:

  • Your full name
  • The phone number you contacted us from (especially if you messaged us via WhatsApp)
  • The email address you used (if applicable)
  • A brief description of what data you would like deleted

What happens next

We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. Once your data is deleted, we will send you a confirmation email. Please note that some records may be retained for legal or accounting purposes (such as completed tax invoices) where required by South African law.

WhatsApp data specifically

When you contact ChargePointSA via WhatsApp, your phone number, profile name, and message contents are received via Meta’s WhatsApp Business Cloud API and stored in our customer support system to enable us to respond. We do not share these messages with third parties for marketing purposes. You can request deletion at any time using the process above.
