Audi closed the 9 Armitage Road sales operation on 30 April 2025 as part of the national footprint reset. Service, parts and warranty continue at the same address under Barons (033 001 9127). New e-tron, Q4 e-tron and Q6 e-tron purchases now route through Audi Durban (031 581 1500); we book that test drive for you if you want it.
How do I see a Volvo EX30 — there's no PMB dealer?
CMH Volvo Cars Umhlanga at 1 Wilton Crescent stocks the full range — 75–90 minutes down the N3. Several PMB buyers build the trip around lunch at Gateway and charge their existing EV free at the dealer while they're inside. CMH will collect-and-deliver for service once you own the car.
Should I buy now or wait?
PMB has the lowest-risk early-adopter maths in SA. R0.36/km running cost on uMsunduzi tariff, freestanding-erf install economics, Town Hill dealer cluster for service. If you drive 1,000+ km a month, payback on the EV premium is typically 3–4 years here — meaningfully faster than the major metros. Wait only if you specifically need a model not yet launched in SA.
What's the realistic monthly cost on an EV here?
On uMsunduzi domestic at R2.12/kWh at 60 km/day, a mid-range EV runs about R350–R460 per month in electricity. Petrol equivalent runs R2,800–R3,500. The geography saves you R2,500/month before service or maintenance differences kick in.
Do you take part-exchange?
